Do you like making and assembling things with your own hands?


If so, how about learning carpentry skills in Imsil and fixing and polishing various parts of the village with your own hands?

You can learn carpentry skills used in actual construction by visiting various village sites in Imsil yourself, repairing old houses, and helping with basic construction.

Feel happy seeing the beautiful villages of Jeju Island being reborn through your own hands.




Why this project is great!


1. Travel and work in Imsil.

Visit various parts of Imsil village and repair old buildings or help with basic construction on-site. After working for 4 hours a day, you can leisurely visit famous tourist attractions and beautiful beaches in Jeju and explore various parts of Jeju.


2. If you like making things, it’s not difficult.

Touching wood to make something is a special experience. If you’re with an expert, you can learn carpentry skills more easily and safely than you think. Try practical carpentry skills used in everyday life now.


3. Grow based on new experiences. The new experience of learning woodworking skills in Imsil will be an opportunity for me to grow. The experience of having fun working with experts on site can be a stepping stone for me to grow and take another path. Take this opportunity to find a new path in my life.


Project activities


This is a project to learn and experience woodworking skills while repairing the village and helping with basic construction with Imsil carpenters.

Experience the production, installation, and reinforcement of buildings using various types of wood and tools.

Learning about the characteristics and types of wood materials

Experience using tools and practical experience

Reviewing drawings, dimensions, and wood processing




■ Examples of main activities


Building maintenance: Demolition of existing structures and installation of structural frames, reinforcement of new materials

Foundation frame construction: Checking drawings, laying of ink lines, assembling and fixing formwork

Site safety management: Installation of safety facilities, removal of unsafe facilities

Maintenance site cleanup: Organizing remaining materials, cleaning, and maintenance

*The courses for each program above are examples for reference and are operated flexibly according to the participants' tendencies, abilities, and situations.


■ Daily Work Example

- The internship program is based on 4 hours of activity per day (choose morning or afternoon activity), and can be operated flexibly depending on local circumstances.

- The above program is conducted for foreigners. - Since this program allows you to learn and practice specialized skills, we give priority to those who are consistent and sincere.

- Since the nature of the program allows you to gain a lot of experience in outdoor fields, we give priority to those who are physically healthy.
