Climate change, animal protection, sustainable resources, upcycling, and other eco-friendly fields that are of interest worldwide are no longer options but necessities.
As such, many of you are probably already taking small steps to be eco-friendly, as they are directly related to our lives.
Reducing plastic usage by using shopping bags, using tumblers, using reusable containers, plogging, etc. are activities that not only you but also those around you are practicing.
If many people gather together and practice these small activities that you are practicing alone, wouldn't the change be even greater, as the saying goes, "A little goes a long way."
Let's start meaningful work for the Earth with young people who share the same goal!

An activist who picks up abandoned ocean trash to save the Earth
We will pick up coastal waste and transform it into various lifestyle products.
We will not only pick up trash on the beach, but also select reusable trash,
plan what products we can make, and conduct marketing activities so that sales can be made! And some of the profits after sales are used to clean up ocean trash, creating a virtuous cycle.
While doing various activities related to the environment, think about your career path in *Green Job.
What is a Green Job?
A Green Job can be viewed in two concepts: the first is a job that creates products and services that benefit the environment or natural resources, and the second is a job that uses less resources and has a more eco-friendly production process.
Three reasons why you should become an eco-friendly activist at Romantic Port Mokpo!!!
First, you can meet eco-friendly activist friends from all over the country.
You can plan fun projects with like-minded peers during activity time, and during free time, you can spend small but happy days by exploring Mokpo's famous restaurants or going to pretty cafes. You can also travel to nearby islands on weekends!
Second, it's a chance to become an eco-friendly expert. The eco-friendly field is a field that has just started, and since it's not that old, there aren't many experts in this field. So, through these activities, gain various experiences, accumulate knowledge about the environment, and become an expert in a special field!
Third, if you want to work in the eco-friendly field while doing activities, it can lead to employment. If you want to make eco-friendly activities, which you initially thought of as just experience, into a career, you can discuss them with participating organizations or have the opportunity to work at a nearby eco-friendly company.

Project Activities
This project is a project where you will spend a month in Mokpo and work with a social enterprise that makes daily items using discarded fishing nets in the sea off Mokpo. If you have always been interested in eco-friendliness, it will be a great experience to have the opportunity to do everything from planning to production and marketing.
Main Activities
Project Planning and Operation: You can plan and implement various projects related to the environment, such as plogging volunteer work, eco-friendly soap making classes, and environmental photo exhibitions, so that more people can take interest and participate. Feel free to spread the ideas that you have only had in your head!
Product Planning and Production: You can plan which products would be good to make from marine waste that are necessary for our daily lives. If you research trendy items or steady products that are consistently selling and check if they can be made with the resources you have, and then go through with production, the items you made may actually end up being sold.
Marketing: You can take pictures or write articles about various projects or products that the organization is working on and promote them through SNS. If you are someone who is usually active on SNS or is familiar with it, you can try it out easily and enjoyably!
*After a preliminary interview, you will be assigned to a field that suits you, and the content of your activities may change depending on the organization's situation. Also, you can work in multiple fields, not just one field.

Introduction of the organization
The organization that participants will participate in is a place that recycles discarded fishing nets in the sea off Mokpo and makes daily necessities.
We started with the slogan, 'Small actions to save the sea, big changes' after seeing the large amount of trash and dead birds eating the trash in the sea of Mokpo.
The first project was to collect discarded fishing nets near the coastal road and make simple bags and pouches. Now, in addition to fishing net upcycling,
we are producing products using a variety of recycled fabrics.
In addition, some of the proceeds from the sale of products are used to clean the sea and streets of Mokpo.
We plan to continue developing newer and more popular products and services in the future, so if you are interested, definitely apply for this program!!!
